Modern furniture feels fresh at historic BNB.
A heritage home and property gets outfitted with modern amenities.
When taking on a project, you have to expect some curve balls. For Heather Schlabach of BNBBreeze, that curveball came in the form of some very old red carpeting.
Tasked with turning a large manor into property into a bespoke BNB for short-term rentals, Heather needed furniture that would suit the historic property, fit her budget, and work with the original carpeting.
“Flooring replacement was not an option,” Heather said of the project’s budget. Instead, she turned her attention towards figuring out what each room should feel like, and what layout and individual pieces could accomplish that sense. “I have used Article enough that I actually can envision certain furniture pieces in the home before I even order it,” Heather said. “I knew I would be ordering the Burrard Seasalt Gray Sofas for the living room… it popped in my mind during my very first walk-through.”

“Working with an individual representative… saves me a lot of headache and is one of my favorite parts of the program.”
Upon the project’s completion, the property owners toured the manor and loved how the furniture captured the historic feel of the building, but still felt fresh and sturdy.
“I have five other projects on the horizon and look forward to working with [Article] to fill each one,” Heather said.
